A Picturesque City – Guilin is a prefecture-level city in the northeast of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of Southern China, sitting on the west bank of the Lijiang River. Guilin is South China’s shining pearl, with verdant mountains, elegant waters, magnificent crags, and fantastic caverns.
Optimum Climate – Guilin has a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate, with mild winters and long summers. The monsoon is long, lasting from March to August, and a pronounced dry season occurs in fall and winter. The total annual rainfall is 1,920 millimeters. Mean temperatures range from 8.5°C in January to 28.7°C in July. Snowfall is rare but possible in winter.
Airport Access – Guilin Liangjiang International Airport is located in Liangjiang, about 28 kilometers southwest of the city center.
Local Transport – Ginlin has an efficient, convenient, and easily accessible local transport network of trains, buses, and taxis. Trains offer an efficient, scenic way of travelling within China. Trains link most parts of the country with reliable service. Guilin Railway Station has direct links to Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xi’An, Kunming, Nanning, and even Hanoi in Vietnam. Buses are a convenient way to travel around Guilin and the city has a reliable bus system. The long-distance bus terminals provide connections with every major metropolis in the region, including Nanning, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Shenzhen, and Changsha. Taxis in Guilin are inexpensive and plentiful, and always on the lookout for customers.
